Gitmo Prisoners: Not the Life of Riley but Better Than Home
You hear many tales about the Gitmo prisoners, many which involve torture, and mistreatment. Here is something you perhaps haven't heard ,many Gitmo prisoners don't want to be sent back to their own country. Why?
They fear torture, and even death.
Life may not be a piece of cake at Gitmo, but they get three good meals according to their religious preference, and even some of the privileged prisoners have TVs and a view of the Caribbean. Life can be rough, I guess.
Now, there is a story coming from the AP via Breitbart.com:
'"I can't go back to my country. I have been threatened to be killed by many people," he said, according to the transcripts, which the Pentagon released Friday in response to a Freedom of Information Act Lawsuit filed by The Associated Press."
This is part of one of many stories that is listed in the article. Some say if they go home even their fingernails would be pulled out.
It seems we were not such a bad custodian of these terrorist prisoners after all.

Yeah, haha, EXACTLY. All those pictures of torture and blood and gore were just fakes. Obviously, the standard we should be judged upon is the fascist countries these people came from.
If they don't weant to go back to those countries, then OBVIOUSLY we must be treating our detainees super nicely. The logic on this site is amazing.
Perhaps you should read the original article. Prison was never meant to be a nice place. And yes some of the accusations of our mistreatment of some prisoners are true. But there is no comparison with torture that other regimes offer. And you need to keep things in perspective.
Yes, some prisoners were tortured, but on the whole most were not. We should be held to a higher standard, and I agree that we have not met that. But we should also realize that we are at a war, and to protect your comfortable life style, some terrible things have happened. And those things always happen in war.
