A Mother Remembered

You may or may not have been by to visit my homeschool blog. You may or may not be a homeschooler, but if you are a parent, Missey's story will affect each of you.

Missey is a homeschooler who passed away March 1st during a c-section. The cause of her death was a 1 in 200,000 event and shocked everyone who knew who and those of us who didn't.

Another homeschooler, Amy, has suggested that we set aside March 13th as a day in Rememberance of Missey. That we spend time with our children and not tell them things like 'wait a minute,' 'I'm busy,' or 'later.' Life is fleeting and regardless of your belief or type of schooling you engage in, it is important to recognize that and to carve out time for our most precious gifts: our children.
