Minefields Protect Penguins

In Kidney Cove in the Falkland Islands, the penguins are mating, happy, safe and secure among minefields planted in 1982. While these areas have been fenced off to protect humans and other larger wildlife, the penguins can rest easy as their weight is too slight to set off the mines. Conservations are thrilled with this unorthodox way of protecting the penguins!
