How to Compete for the Darwin Awards in Lynchburg Virginia?

While driving down Rivermont Avenue the other day, I couldn't help to notice that the Darwin Award competion had reached Lynchburg.

Here you see a man attempting to remove something caught in the power lines. I watched him lose his balance and nearly fall.

Here is advice from the Virginia Tech Utilities:

"Never remove a kite or airplane that gets entangled in overhead power lines, on a pole, or in a tree near power lines. Call the electric service for removal." Unless you feel the need to compete for the Darwin Award, that seems like good advice.

Thanks for your comment DL. I had originally stopped on Rivermont for another picture, then saw this. I found it quite amazing what he was attempting.
