In honor of father who was cited for bravery for saving lives when the heavy cruiser, USS Pittsburg lost its bow in World War II.

He continued to serve his country in the next two wars. Again in Korea he was cited for bravery for attempting to save lives when a five inch gun turret exploded on board ship. In Viet Nam he served behind the lines in Laos and Cambodia developing a sensor system on the Ho Chi Min trail. Today he is buried in Arlington National Cementary for the service he provided to his country. I offer my profound respect to him and all the other service men who have served their country in time of war.
