The State of the Blogosphere and Lynchburg Virginia

Technorati has released its current state of the blogosphere. Right now they have registered over 35 million blogs. In that universe Lynchburg Virginia is ranked 52,773. We have previously ranked in the top 50,000, but the ranking varies as the blogosphere grows.

Here are some basic statistics:

The blogosphere is doubling in size every 6 months
It is now over 60 times bigger than it was 3 years ago

19.4 million bloggers (55%) are still posting 3 months after their blogs are created
