Crack the Code: Google Wants to Entertain You

Puzzles anyone? Google is going to launch a mind bending series of puzzles, that they want you to solve. They promise to tantalize you to the point of distraction, and goad you to the edge of exhaustion.

And there could be a reward for you, once you solve the series of mind benders that are based on the Da Vinci Codes. The reward promises to be more tantalizing than the mythical gold wrapped wonka bar, which they call a pretty nice prize.

Actually, it is a series of prizes that will also wisk you away to England, Paris, Rome, and fill some of your high tech desires. As they say on the Price is Right, "retail value is 128,170.54 dollars." Most of the prizes are sponsored by Sony, but other companies are chipping in too.

The puzzles were designed by a group led by Wei-Hwa Huang. And there are a total of 12,358 original puzzles. If anyone knows how to design a good puzzle, it is Wei-Hwa Huang. He is a software engineer who has won the world puzzle competition 4 times.

Now, he wants you to rack your mind, and if anything he promises you will have fun. If you fail to win the grand prize there will be 10,000 consolation prizes.

Pictured is the Cryptex replica inspired by the Da Vinci Code film, 10,000 will be given to the top puzzle solvers.
