On Line Romance Takes a Twist

Often we have read about how pedophiles roam the internet to find their underage victims. Online relationships, have been both good and bad . Some have destroyed marriages, and some have unwittingly found one or both parties deceived on the gender of their mates. Its the price you pay if you naively accept that people will always represent themselves who they really are.

There are some however, that develop relationships and friendships that are neither evil or despicable. Some people just meet people that they would not normally meet. Yes, there is the good, the bad, and the hilarious.

Yahoo News is reporting how after a six month online relationship two people who engaged in an relationship on the internet finally decided to meet. The met on a dark secluded beach. Each was surprised to find that the relationship which was tepid at times was a bit unnatural. The online lovers found they were related, mother and son.

Heh heh heh, that is funny. But ya know, it is a good lesson. You do not know to whom you are talking. Some times it is good, like a good friend of mine that married her online guy and is living happily in Ashville NC. Then of course there are the bad times, the pedophiles, the psychos, the stalkers...
The internet is the perfect place to practice "cowboy diplomacy" , a big ole smile and a big ole gun, for when the smile doesn't work. LOL

Thanks for the comment, Jeff. I have known people that also got married from online relationships, but it can be a wilderness out there.
