Lynchburg Virginia Blog: Has It Ears to the Ground.
If you have ever watched old western TV shows, you will find that Indians called telegraph lines talking wires, that usually ran along the railroad. Sometimes the Indians would be seen seen placing the ear to the ground to hear the vibration and sound of a train that could not yet be seen. If this is actually what happened, we are not sure TV, and movies, back then, sometimes used creative leeway.
But sometimes Lynchburg Virginia Blog, has it ears to the ground in reporting stories that have yet made it to the local media. Here is an example: On Saturday we reported that the police made a break through in the Mid-town robberies. We told you to expect more details on Monday. Well it took a day longer than we expected, the story broke today in The Lynchburg News and Advance, and WSET. Sometimes we just end up and the right spot at the right time. And just sometimes, we just can get the story out faster.
Additional, you will find stories here that the media has not yet picked up at all. Some we consider that there are things you should just plain need to know. One example of that is our coverage of the Chronic Wasting Disease (mad deer disease) that is breaking out on the border of Virginia, and we expect that it is here. Our hope is that the local mainstream media picks that up soon. The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries are telling hunters to take precautions, that have not been circulated enough.
Is that a herd of buffalo vibrating the ground off the horizon or is it an oncoming train? Well we have our ears to the ground, and will let you know as soon as we hear.
