Cell Phone Tracking: You Can Call, But You Can't Hide

In Great Britian a new company, World, has launched a new program that allows the user to track locations of cell phone users within 50 to 500 meters. This tracking service is available to anyone who registers. Lets say perhaps you want to know the location of our spouse when she makes a call: An interface with Google maps will pinpoint her location.

Touted as a method that offers the following reasons for use:

Locate your company mobiles at any time
Utilise your fleet more effectively
Provide additional safety to lone workers
Recover your lost or misplaced mobile

We can't help to notice some of the unwritten implications that this service plans to offer.

Find cheating wives
Be able to say to your new girl friend, "Its just fate that I found you here."
Be able to answer the question, "Do you know where your children are?"
Locate drug dealers on the fly
Track those mysterious disposable phones, that are often used by terrorists
And of course there are countless good and bad uses

The service is planned to be offered in the United States soon, maybe not without a struggle.
