95 Countries Now Offering Aid In Katrina Relief
The United States Government is reporting that 95 countries have responded to the hurricane Katrina relief effort.
A spokesman from the State Department said:
“At the State Department we welcome all offers,” Thomas said. “This is generous ... it’s unprecedented. I think the American people should know and need to know that others are helping us in our time of need the way we help others.”
A government spokesman said we are not turning down any offers. The biggest problem has been matching offers with needs.
