Carl Hutcherson III: A Free Man

WSET is reporting that the recent trial of Mayor Carl Hucherson's son resulted in a suspended sentence. He was tried for possession with the intent to distribute. Found on his person at a traffic stop was 8 ounces of marijuana and 2,000 dollars in cash.

Certainly, the question will arise is this blatant favoritism, or what someone can expect after a conviction in our local courts for drugs? In Carl Hucherson's favor is that he tested clean for drugs on Friday. The maximum time he could have faced for this charge was 10 years in jail.

I think you are letting your vendetta against the mayor unfairly cloud your judgment. Why target the son for the sins of the father?

Actually, I have a vendetta against drugs and what it does to our coummunity. I consider I have treated the Mayor fairly overall. If you go through the archives you will find the truth of both statements.

Actually, it's the war on drugs that's the problem. It artificially raises the prices of drugs (a la prohibition) to the point they become so valuable that I will kill you to prevent you from selling them on my side of the street.

Otherwise, if someone wants to smoke marijuana, why is it any of your business? It is less addictive compared to cigarettes. It does not result in violent behavior like alcohol frequently does. So wht's the case to ban it? It's just fscists who want to use the force of government to enforce their beliefs on others.
