Windows Live Local Preview

Microsoft is jumping right into the satellite and map competition. Windows Live Local is now showing you a taste of what is to come.

The little ball moves with your mouse, and the ground view is shown in pictures above. So far they are only showing us two cities mapped this way, San Francisco and Seattle. We are sure they are on the onset of a mammoth project.

By the way out of all the satellite map programs, NASA's World Wind continues to give the best satellite images for Lynchburg Virginia.
