The Cartoon Wars: Go Loony

First there was the Islamic press they were publishing antisemitic cartoons from time knows when. No one cared.

Then there were the Danes they published cartoons that Muslims found offensive, because the face of the prophet should never be shown. (However they did republish in their own press.) This was followed by riots in the streets, death threats, embassies on fire, and flag burnings. (Danish flags and U.S. flags are in high demand.)





Not to be out done Iran starts an international holocaust cartoon contest. The President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran announced the contest. He considers the holocaust a myth, worthy of cartoon fodder. Very few care.

In the spirit of one upmanship, an Israeli paper offers it own international contest. You can make fun of Jews here, Israel will publish your antisemitic cartoons.

When will it ever end? Well never, unless Iran develops the bomb and blasts everyone for the right of the press to be free.
