It's About Time

There are a lot of things that you know are happening but take too much time to view: flowers blooming in the morning, the growth of a tree, the tide coming in, kids growing up, tax reform, or the winner of American Idol. You know they're going on, but until you open your eyes one day and really see, the progress is too slow to notice.
I found a neat site on the web today. It's called Plants In Motion, and it's all about time lapse pictures of things like Sunflowers turning toward the sun, Morning Glories "finding" a pole and then wrapping around it (you gotta see that one!) and blooms that just last a few hours and then are gone forever.
Nature is a wonderous thing -- sometime we just need a little help from technology to see how wonderful. For more cool time-lapse, and super-fast movies, try Playing With Time -- have you ever seen the tide come in? Watch a firecracker slowly explode? These are some neat movies. Hope you enjoy them.
