Tips and Tricks: Searching Google


Suppose you want to research fish and your interest is bass. You plug your word into Google and now you find that you are finding all about bass trombones. Here is an easy solution enter bass -music. This will sharpen your aim and you will be more on target with your search.

This is just one example of how to refine your search. If you look here, you will find other techniques you can use to find exactly what you are looking for. There are other tricks like when “searching for a phrase” enter your query enclosed in quotation marks and your search will be limited to where that phrase turns up on the internet.
