Southern Illinois University Accused of Discrimation

The Chicago Sun Times is reporting:

A letter came from the Justice Department notifying Southern Illinois University of discrimination. The Justice Department has informed the University that it was in violation of Title VII of the federal Civil Rights Act. The letter read in part:

"The University has engaged in a pattern or practice of intentional discrimination against whites, non-preferred minorities and males.''

Southern Illinois University offers three fellowships that were targeted by the Justice Department on the grounds of either being gender biased or discrimination against white males. The leter required SIU to cease and desist. SIU has not determined what their response will be.

Who would have thought that white males could be discriminated against? The Justice Department did. I wonder if Sweet Briar has any white males in attendance?
