Hunter's Education Class Set

A Virginia Hunter's Education Course will be held Sept. 17-18 at the New London Ruritan Club.

The class will be held that Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on the Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Participants must attend both days in order to successfully pass the course. This includes all persons who are 12 to 15 years of age, and all persons 16 years or older who have never been issued a hunting license. All first-time hunters are required to take this course regardless of age.

The Virginia Department of Game and Island Fisheries (DGIF) and volunteers sponsor this course at no charge. Call the DGIF Forest Office at 434-525-7522 for information and registration. Advance registration is recommended, but not required.
