National Poetry Month

April is National Poetry Month. What could be a better time to introduce your children to the wonder, beauty, and enjoyment of the world of poetry. Please take the time to write and read all types of poetry with your children.

For starters you can visit your local library for poetry books children love. I'm sure your librarian can offer you some great suggestions. There are alot of resources online that can assist you with this project as well. Here's a link to some sites that may prove to be of some help with this April endeavor.

Most importantly enjoy your children and the time you and your family spend together reading and writing. And don't forget to let your creativity to shine.

Poems are a very creative way to explore learning and ideals. I think children need to spend more time reading and less time video-gaming, but thats jsut me.

Thank you for your comment. I couldn't agree with you more. Poems are a wonderful way to explore learning as well as enhance creativity. It's time well spent and good food for the brain.
